Less than TWO months until Jordan is 2!
It has been quite the year. Jordan is such a toddler, it is amazing. He speaks in sentences, understands nearly everything that is said to him and has the best personality (like his mommy ;)) ha ha. It is actually VERY scary to know that he has my memory, too. On that note, we took one of the gates off the stairs... he started climbing over it.
Josh has been teaching Jordan Spanish. Jordan repeats very well and sometimes we catch him counting in Spanish and English. It really is a good age to learn language. Now if potty-training can be that easy.
I cannot believe we are planning his SECOND BIRTHDAY. He found the birthday catalog and has picked out a few themes, we shall see what really will be the theme. I sure hope we dont end up with giant tractors, a petting zoo, clowns and Mickey... I would never be able to top that for the next years.
As he grows so fast, I cannot help but reread these posts and get a little sad. He is such a daddy's boy, but nothing beats the feeling of coming home to Jordy running up to me, hollering "MOMMY, Hug, Kiss!" The past few nights he's even cuddled with me, boy I miss that!
We have been so lucky in finding a new sitter! She was recommended by our past sitter who is now a teacher (we cant wait for Jordy to be her student!). Searching was so daunting- it actually made me ill for several reasons... but the new one lives literally 10 houses away and Jordan requests to go there to play just like at Whitney's. Such a good sign! He must love the dark hair!
Well, enough ramblings for now since these are not even cohesive thoughts, it has been almost a year since the last entry, I am a bit rusty.

JORDAN IS ELEVEN MONTHS
Wow. It has been 1/2 a year since I have even blogged about our sweet baby boy. bad mommy.
Jordan is now walking. We will say his official walking date was Sept 18th because that is when Josh and I both saw him take more than 5 steps. Now he takes dozens at a time and transports things like remotes, my glasses and other various items that do not need to be in a walking toddler's hands...
J pants has 8 teeth now. With about 4 more on the way. I think that explains his "middle of the night cry fests" and biting me every chance he gets... oh I hope that explains it because Josh and I are tired!
We have his 1 year Dr. visit on Oct 18th- that should be interesting to see how much he weighs and how tall he is. Maybe we can take him off of the formula since he only really wants to eat adult food and drink out of his straw cups.
On top of all of that, Daddoo (josh) and I have been busy planning Jordan's 1st birthday party! There will be over 100 guests invited. Glad he only turns 1 once. ;) Should be a great time- hope our house holds everyone and that it is nice outside so we can have some of the festivities in the yard.
Well hopefully I will post when he's 1 and not wait until 18 months... I will be posting more soon!

five months and counting...
It has been so long since I have blogged. So I will just randomly rattle off some of the milestones your big, little baby has hit. Our big boy got his first teeth on March 13th and 14th. One and two days after his five month birthday! Jordy is wearing 9-12 month clothes and will be switching to size 4 diapers this week... Wednesday we will be shopping around for a different carseat (for mommy's car) for two different reasons: 1) mommy cant lift his infant carrier seat anymore 2) he's over the weight limit of the carrier seat. Last time we weighed him, he was over 22 lbs. He still hates tummy time, so he likes to roll right over to get off his belly. Jordan's new trick is to hop off the couch and stand. Here's a cute video of his favorite thing to do when he's sitting on the couch.

Our First Time...

Leaving the baby!
Auntie Liz came over to spend the whole day 12/6 with Sweet Baby J... So we could go to the Bulls game. It was hard to leave at first, but he loves his Auntie so it was all fine and dandy.
By the time we got home, he was sweetly sleeping and slept until 7am! Way to go Auntie Liz!
Go Bulls!
*8 Week Doctor Visit*

Friday, December 10th, Jordan has his 8 week doctor's visit. Such a big boy! Dr. B always has something good to say so it makes us feel like we are doing everything right!
Jordan is right on target for his age and technically his 2 month birthday is not until the 13th. He weighed in at 13lbs 4oz. Measured 24.5 inches long and his noggin must have a lot of brains because it is 42cm around...
He is able to look from side to side, watch his own hands and use them, babble and SMILE! It just warms our hearts when he smiles at us!
He also started something new the past few days: blowing bubbles and sticking his tongue out... not sure if that is a developmental milestone, but he's doing it!
His next appointment is February 11th. 4months!

Thanksgiving and more!
Thanksgiving this year was busy!
We started celebrating the Sunday before with Gran-Nola and Gpa Steve! Jordan sat in his baby rocking chair while the adults ate and the doggies weren't to sure about him on their level. It was so nice to have a relaxing dinner and not have to run after eating.
On Thanksgiving day, coming to town was quite a chore. We packed the Camry to the gills to stay in Rockford one, yes one night. But I am glad we stayed so Jordan could have his first sleepover with us at Grandma Olga's!
We started the day by going to Grandma and Grandpa Mershon's. (Kathy and Barry)- The house was packed but we got there early so he could spend some QT with Gma and Gpa. Then the craziness started! Around 30 people came and they all were lovin' on Jordan! His cousin William wanted to keep holding him- William is 2! It was very cute.
From the Mershon house, we went to Grandma Olga's. It was filled to the brim with family, too! Jordan was a little crabby from all the fun during the first part of the day, so he ate and napped, not many got to see him. He needed a good nap though.
From Grandma Olga's we went to Auntie Nora's. Mommy and Daddy ate yet again...and Jordy got to meet Aunt Pam and family, Uncle Ron, and Grandpa Emmett! How fun!
All in all it was a fun day and Jordan was so tuckered out, he slept from 10pm until 7am! We were so thankful.

35 WEEKS!
Wow, it has been a long time since our last post!
We had our final ultrasound Tuesday, September 14 at 35 weeks. The ultrasound tech said the baby's head was huge. NICE! The guess on his weight is 7 lbs 4oz to 7lbs 7oz- head is measuring in at 40 weeks. The machine said September 29th as an estimated due date...
My blood pressure was good, looks like the NST was good, too. Doc walked in and measured my belly, and said "you're getting big"- I asked if he had looked at the ultrasound from earlier and he said no. He came back 15 minutes later and said, "well, he's not small!"
We will shoot the same due date of Oct 18th, but Dr. Stamos said that we will not stop Jordan if he comes now. :) So I am confident my September 28th guess is pretty accurate!
