Wow, it has been a long time since our last post!
We had our final ultrasound Tuesday, September 14 at 35 weeks. The ultrasound tech said the baby's head was huge. NICE! The guess on his weight is 7 lbs 4oz to 7lbs 7oz- head is measuring in at 40 weeks. The machine said September 29th as an estimated due date...
My blood pressure was good, looks like the NST was good, too. Doc walked in and measured my belly, and said "you're getting big"- I asked if he had looked at the ultrasound from earlier and he said no. He came back 15 minutes later and said, "well, he's not small!"
We will shoot the same due date of Oct 18th, but Dr. Stamos said that we will not stop Jordan if he comes now. :) So I am confident my September 28th guess is pretty accurate!

July 8, 2010!!!
Today we used Josh's Father's day gift. 3-d ultra sound package see Jordan up close and personal! Looks like I am 25 weeks and 3 days according to what the owner had on the screen.
The first thing we found out was that he really is a boy! No mistaking that! Jordan Micah Mershon!
He was very active, like usual- Josh loved seeing his heart beat. 154 bpm. Jordan loved trying to get his hands by his face and above his head, unreal!
We got a 10 minute DVD of our session, it is pretty amazing although he's moving around a lot so some of the pics are a little scary looking. Brenny got to see the video- he brought that up... :)
Hopefully we can paint his bedroom and pick out a bedset soon. I am getting antsy to get his room all together! I know Josh is, too- except his closet is chocked full of clothing already!
Next regular MD appt is July 17, 2010. That will be my glucose test and I will be 27 weeks!

It has been over 1 month!
June 3rd we had our 20 week ultrasound. According to the US tech, it is a boy! Jordan. Nope, we haven't decided on a middle name, yet. He weighed in at a whopping 12oz! A little bigger than average. I did not expect any thing different! He was basically standing on my intestines and his little arm came up and started playing with the umbilical cord. Pretty awesome to see that! No clear view of his boy parts, but hopefully he was being modest for Mom and Dad. Auntie Liz stopped over that night and we had dinner- she already spoils Jordan- he got some Michael Jordan onsies...completely fitting! :)
The girls (Laura and Jess) decided to get the ball rolling for a baby shower- Looks like August 15th. So I will make the announcement that if anyone wants details to contact them or my mom. :) I know nothing. ha ha.
We also have another appointment on June 19th- which probably be in and out with Dr. Epstein. Funny guy. I'll have to remember to tell him that my feet swell a little too much for what I think is appropriate even though the midwife said it is normal. EH, what does she know!
I decided my Corolla is getting too small for a pregnant lady(especially one of my stature), I have an itch to get a new one... but this one is almost paid off and I would love to not have a car payment! It would be grrreat!!
I will try to post more often!

May 22 is taking forever!
I am not sure why May 22 (our next baby appointment) is taking forever to get here- I think the suspense of finding out if the baby is a boy or girl is killing me!
We were thinking about doing the 3D ultrasound, but I have mixed emotions about it. Even-though it would be so cool to show our first born a video of them before he/she is was born... I'm sure we will do it if the doc says it is okay.
We are also super excited about moving-Hopefully by the end of this week Josh and I will be proud homeowners, too. Still waiting for Harris Bank and Amcore to sign off on the house so we can close already! We need to do this before Friday because we need to get out of the apartment in time to clean it and prime the walls.
I guess we will just hurry up to wait!

Toothbrush and Sinus
Well, every morning I now gag on my toothbrush. It is the most horrible feeling, ever.
I think I can attribute that to the fact I have post nasal drip because of my allergies- YUCK.
That is all for now! :)

A thump at 15 weeks?
Yesterday, April 20th around 5:45pm- I swear I felt a thump in my lower abdomen. Then again just before 6pm I felt another a little over from where the first one was...
gas or baby, never felt that before!
Today I registered for the August 14 birthing class at Sherman Hospital- it's an all day thing- but way better than having to go one day after work for 6 weeks.
This hospital is sooo nice... it actually looks like a mall.
It is right off of 90 in Elgin at the Randall Road exit, so very easy for the fam and friends that want to come visit.
That's all for today... 5 days until we close on the house!

April 17th visit, 915am

2nd baby visit went well. We met Dr. Epstein- they were so behind so we didn't get seen until almost 1015am. The doc said the pain in the left side of my stomach was my slowed bowel movements (i know, tmi) so I was feeling irritation. Whatever, never had that before so I was worried.
Still couldn't hear baby Mershon in the Doppler- well Josh and I couldn't so we had another ultrasound. Baby doubled in size and was moving around like crazy. Heart was beating nice and bright.
We found out on this visit that my uterus is tilted back so that's why it is a little harder to hear the heartbeat, but by week 20, it should be straighted out. The doctor joked and said I need to fix that because ultrasounds are expensive. I said I would.
We hurried home from the appointment to get ready for the wedding in Milwaukee. I curled my hair, painted my toenails and got to wear my cute little peacock colored dress. I was already tired and it was only noon! Josh looked very nice, too! I dont even think we took pictures of us all dolled up! been since the wedding we've dressed up. yikes.
around 1030pm we left the wedding. I headed to the restroom and came out panicked after I discovered something disturbing. I called the doctor right away and he put me on bedrest for Sunday- I hope that does the trick. The doctor just said it should taper off and if it doesnt, then he'd meet us at the hospital. Said it could be a placenta tear and it should heal on its own. Fingers crossed. I am really glad we saw the baby that morning, otherwise I am not sure what I'd do. Just praying, now.
